Community Engagement
The Dartmouth Center for Social Impact (DCSI) is committed to partnering with the communities we serve by constructing reciprocal relationships with local organizations. In its ideal form, this allows Dartmouth students to offer meaningful engagement that meets real community needs and in turn, community partners can help Dartmouth students learn how organizations in the Upper Valley are responding to import ant social sector issues afflicting the world today.
Sample topics revolve around issues related to inequality in the following areas:
- Child and Family Well-being
- Community Health
- Crime and Violence
- Education
- Elder Care
- Employment
- Environmental Protection
- Poverty and Housing
- Public Health
- Substance Abuse and Recovery
This can take many forms but the most common are workshops, tours, or speaking engagements, each of which can be tailored to your particular area of expertise and offered on a timeline that works well for you.
