Scott Wu '89

Scott's background traverses leadership roles in the public, private and non-profit sectors. He was appointed by Governor Newsom to run the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank), a public finance institution committed to improving the quality of life for the people of California where he recently launched the state's climate fund. He was a partner and head of investments for the Omidyar Network, a global pioneer in impact investing where he spearheaded the firm's work in providing energy to off-grid communities. Scott was a co-founder of several innovative investment firms, including FTV Capital, and a member of the founding team at Upstart.com (NASDAQ: UPST). His commitment to economic and social justice led to his appointment by the White House as a Presidential Innovation Fellow, advising the U.S. Agency for International Development's innovation investing activities.
