Meridith is Special Counsel in the Office of the Commissioner at the NYC Administration for Children's Services. Previously, she served as Vice President at Sheltering Arms Children & Family Services, where she spearheaded the formulation and implementation of policies and programs related to the welfare of children and youth in the foster care, juvenile justice, and homeless youth systems. Prior to her role at Sheltering Arms, Meridith worked for over 20 years at the Juvenile Rights Practice at the Legal Aid Society.
Meridith has served on committees at the NYC Bar Association and as a board member of Jumpstart, which advances equitable learning outcomes for young children in underserved communities, and the Stonewall Community Foundation, which makes strategic investments in grassroots organizations to strengthen the LGBTQ+ community.
Meridith holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College. She lives in New York City with her husband Ted and their two children.
