Dartmouth Class of 1989, Jennifer advises social impact organizations on board building, organizational development and fundraising strategies. Leveraging experience in marketing and strategic problem solving in the for-profit and social impact arenas, Jennifer focuses on long-term sustainability. Jennifer believes that investing in education, especially early education, creates opportunities for all.
Active in pre-school literacy for over 20 years through Jumpstart (jstart.org) Jennifer is a member of its National Board of Directors, chairs its Nominating and Governance Committee, and is the former chair of the New York Advisory Board. She initially became involved in Jumpstart through a volunteer consulting assignment, then as a founding member of its New York Advisory Board, and has supported the organization's growth to address the debilitating achievement gap that affects disadvantaged children.
As a volunteer, she has advised social impact organizations including Opening Act which gives students at underserved public high schools opportunities to develop leadership, community, and commitment through its free, after-school theater program; Reading Partners which provides public elementary school students with individualized reading support; and The Museum of the City of New York.
A passionate Dartmouth alumna, Jennifer is a Member of the Centennial Circle, is Co-Chair of 89 Cares, and a co-founder of the New York Chapter of Dartmouth's Bridges to Impact, a mentorship and networking community for Dartmouth graduates in the social impact sector.
Prior to her non-profit work, Jennifer was Vice President of Marketing at American Express, Operations Manager for a precision gear head manufacturer, and worked in Economic Development for the City of New York.
Jennifer holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Psychology from Dartmouth. She is married with two boys, enjoys bonding with her family and friends over home-cooked meals around the kitchen table, and lives in New York City.
