Born and raised in New York City, Janos Marton has spent the last 25 years as an organizer, lawyer, and campaign director working on social justice issues across the country. After graduating from Fordham Law magna cum laude, Janos worked on civil rights cases and tackling corruption. He was named the first Advocacy Director for JustLeadershipUSA, where he managed the historic #CLOSErikers campaign.
Janos then oversaw state criminal justice programs for the ACLU before running for Manhattan District Attorney on bold decarceration policies that became the gold standard in that race. As Chief Advocacy Officer at Dream.Org, Janos oversees policy and political programs that advance criminal justice and climate goals, as well as Dream's communications and digital engagement departments.
Janos is a 2004 graduate of Dartmouth College, where he served as student body president, and 2009 graduate of Fordham Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude. He lives on Staten Island with his partner Cristina, and cats Loki and Odin (who often join Zoom meetings).
