Breaking the Mold: A Conference on Careers for the Common Good

Breaking the Mold is a 2-day conference sponsored by the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact that provides information and alumni networking opportunities for students interested in exploring or pursuing careers for the common good.

Bridges to Impact

After graduation will you be working, studying, OR volunteering for a social impact cause in Boston, Washington, D.C., or New York? Register for Bridges to Impact.

Bridges to Impact is an Alumni-led professional development community for new graduates working, volunteering, or studying in social-impact related fields!

For example, you could be: working for a nonprofit, teaching in a school, studying public interest law, medicine, or public health, working for any level of government, doing impact investing or nonprofit consulting, and so much more. 

As a participant in Bridges to Impact, you will:

  • Be matched with an individual Dartmouth alumni mentor in your metro area who will provide guidance and an opportunity to reflect on your career path.
  • Attend networking events, and workshops run by Dartmouth alumni engaged in social impact work.
  • Meet and engage with other new professionals working in the social sector.
  • Connect with numerous Dartmouth alumni, gain wisdom from their experiences, and grow your professional and social networks.

Past events have included conversations with: Becca Heller '05, MacArthur Genius Fellow, about her incredible refugee work, civil rights lawyer Maya Wiley '86 about current policing methods, and Professor Brendan Nyhan on countering misinformation on politics and public health.
