Dive deep into a specific social challenge or geographic locale through curricular-connected trips that offer intensive, multi-day ventures with our domestic and international partner sites.
The DCSI Winterim Immersion Trip is a program that empowers student participants to engage in meaningful social impact work and to develop intentional communities at Dartmouth and on-site in Texas as we drive along the border from Brownsville to El Paso over a 10-day span.
This 10-day Winterim Immersion Trip invites participants to explore the nuances of immigration policy and asylum-seeking through the lenses of race, LGBTQIA+ identities, environmental conservation, geography, community organizing, indigeneity, public health, gentrification, democracy, religion, art-as-activism and the intersectionality between all of the above.
