After spending four years in Hanover as a Dartmouth undergraduate, Corey Solano '13 returned to the Upper Valley in 2021 and joined DCSI in November 2023. As a lover of outdoors and nature, Corey can be found exploring the many trails and hikes across New Hampshire and Vermont on the weekends, biking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Corey began her professional career at SquashBusters, an educational access and equity nonprofit organization based in Boston, MA. Corey was responsible for leading SquashBusters' post-secondary and career success program, which supports first generation students in their goals of persisting and graduating from post-secondary institutions and securing post-graduation internship and job opportunities. She is passionate about mentoring and empowering college-aged students to connect their academic learning and interests to a career in social impact. At DCSI, Corey will be leading Foundations in Social Impact, a first-year program that introduces students to the social impact space and develops leadership skills that encourage and inspire students to engage as changemakers at Dartmouth, in their personal lives, and in their future careers. She will also lead the Winterim ImpACT internship program and Matariki Global Impact Summit at Moosilauke Ravine Lodge.
Corey grew up in the greater Boston area and completed her B.A. in Geography and Psychology at Dartmouth. She lives in Etna, NH with her husband, Nick, and their dog, Pemi. She is always looking for new, healthy recipes to try and loves a good recipe swap!
