About
After the recommitment to Dartmouth's founding charter in 1970, the Native American Council formed to "encourage the academic success of Native American students at Dartmouth." Comprised of faculty, staff, student, and alumni representatives from the Native American Program, Department of Native American and Indigenous Studies, Hood Museum of Art, Admissions, student organizations Native Americans at Dartmouth and Hokupa'a, Institute of Arctic Studies, the Native American Alumni Association of Dartmouth, the NAC coordinates Native and Indigenous community efforts across Dartmouth. The NAC meets monthly to discuss special topics and collaborate on programming and advocacy efforts.
