Founded in 1970, in recommitment to Dartmouth's founding charter, the Native American Program champions and supports Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, First Nations, and other Indigenous cultures and communities through student advising, community programming, leadership development, and educational initiatives.
We strive to cultivate a vibrant Dartmouth community that celebrates Indigenous voices, honors diverse perspectives, and Indigenous knowledges. In doing so, we empower all students to make meaningful contributions to their own communities and the broader society.
The Native American Program's core values are community, culture, responsibility, and reciprocity. These values are woven throughout all facets of the program including staff supervision and development, community programming, and educational initiatives.
