Teresa McKnight joins Dartmouth as Associate Director, First Generation Office. She brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education, student success, academic support, and program leadership. Most recently, she served as Director of the Academic Discovery Program at La Salle University, where she led initiatives focused on supporting first-generation, low-income, and historically underrepresented students.
In addition to her administrative leadership, Teresa has taught student success courses as an adjunct professor and has extensive experience in workshop facilitation, student development, and academic coaching. She holds a Master of Science in Management from Wilmington University, a Master of Arts in Adult Education and Communications Technology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Communications Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Teresa's commitment to student success is rooted in her belief that every student deserves someone who sees their potential, challenges them to grow, and supports them through the inevitable obstacles of college life. Having spent her career working with first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students, she believes that access alone is not enough and is committed to helping students thrive, persist, and realize their full potential.
She is excited to join the Dartmouth community and contribute to its commitment to student success and belonging.
