First-Year Summer Enrichment Program

Through mentor-mentee meetings, sample classes taught by Dartmouth faculty members, skill-building workshops and seminars, self-assessment and goal-setting sessions, team and community-building activities, and small group discussions, FYSEP students learn the mechanics of a successful Dartmouth experience while forging a strong peer network that will continue even after graduation.

Celebrating First-Generation Students Across Campus

Dartmouth defines a first-generation college student as one whose parent(s)/guardian(s) does not hold a bachelor's degree, which is traditionally a four-year degree. The College is home to over 700 first-generation students!

King Scholars Program

The FGO currenlty oversees the King Scholars Program, funded by Dorothy and Robert King '57 to sponsor incoming undergraduates from impoverished, rural nations in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia who are interested in alleviating poverty in their respective home countries.
