[more]Dartmouth students and young alumni have accepted 16 major national scholarships that will support their undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the coming year. Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships will bring Dartmouth graduates into classrooms from Korea to Corsica; others will conduct research in fields as diverse as industrial archeology, epidemiology, earth sciences, and music history around the globe.

[more]Hannah Payne, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 2011, has been awarded a Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship for the 2010–2011 academic year. A neuroscience and engineering science double major from Huntington, N.Y., Payne is one of 278 current sophomores and juniors recognized by the Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program which seeks to provide a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers by awarding scholarships to college students who intend to pursue careers in these fields.
