The Knight-Hennessy program offers scholars opportunities to develop as global leaders through mentorship and experiential learning initiatives. The interdisciplinary community of Knight-Hennessy Scholars work together to find new solutions to real-world problems.
The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program selects around 100 students from around the world for up to three years of fully-funded support for any graduate program at Stanford University (including master's, MD, JD, and PhD programs). In addition to providing support for graduate funding, the Knight-Hennessy program offers scholars opportunities to develop as global leaders through mentorship and experiential learning initiatives. The interdisciplinary community of Knight-Hennessy Scholars works together to find new solutions to real-world problems.
Scholars are selected on the basis of three main criteria: Independence of Thought, Purposeful Leadership, and a Civic Mindset. Applicants must apply separately to their selected Stanford graduate degree program in addition to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program. Any applicants not admitted to the graduate program will not be eligible for the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program.
