Lesley '28 (he/him/his) is an Economics and Computer Science student who is passionate about helping others grow as confident and effective communicators. Originally from Harare, Zimbabwe, he has studied in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and now the United States—experiences that have shaped his global perspective and appreciation for diverse voices in writing. He enjoys working with students to clarify ideas, strengthen arguments, and develop their unique writing style. Outside of the Writing Center, Lesley is actively involved in Aquinas House Catholic Student Center, the Dartmouth Parliamentary Debate Team, and the Sadie Alexander Association. He is deeply interested in finance and is always happy to talk about the stock market, mergers and acquisitions, and asset management. A passionate traveler, he has visited over 14 countries across five continents, debated at the international level, and enjoys reading books on macroeconomic policy—How Countries Go Broke is a personal favorite. He is also an avid financial podcast listener, with Unhedged from the Financial Times among his top picks. In his free time, Lesley enjoys listening to R&B, pop, and Afrobeats.
