Scott Phillips

Assistant Debate Coach

Scott assists Dartmouth Debate as a remote coach. He coached for Dartmouth previously from 2008-2010. Scott has a track record of debate success. In high school, he was the Top Speaker at the Tournament of Champions. While debating for Emory University, Scott received three-time First Round At-Large Bids to the National Debate Tournament. Scott won ADA nationals, the University of Kentucky Round Robin, Harvard University, Northwestern University and West Georgia. He is a former debate coach at Pace Academy, Notre Dame High School and The Potomac School. Scott has taught for many years at the Emory National Debate Institute and Michigan Debate Institutes. He is a co-founder of The 3NR, a collaborative blog about high school policy debate.
