Meet Michael Mayer at the Lunch Discussion on Impact and the Health Sector on Oct 14th.

Mike supervises the Housing Navigation Team at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program. In this role, he works closely with people experiencing poly-substance use disorder and unsheltered homelessness in Boston's South End. Mike has a passion for housing policy and is a part of several city committees focused on ending homelessness in Boston. Additionally, he's passionate about social justice in healthcare and has led several initiatives to improve staff diversity and encourage anti-racist workplace practices. Mike's team was recently recognized as one of the highest-performing teams in Massachusetts, and he's grateful to lead several pilot grants aimed at improving health outcomes for marginalized patients. When not at work, Mike loves to explore the city by bike, eat hot pot with friends, find excuses to visit the white mountains, and hang out with his partner's elderly chihuahua.
