Sowmya Kypa is a Senior Policy Analyst in Strategic Initiatives at Service Employees International Union (SEIU). SEIU represents over two million workers in service and care jobs. In her role, Sowmya analyzes policy and legislation and engages with coalitions on issues that affect working people. Previously, she was a researcher at the Pew Charitable Trusts on the Living Facts and Financial Security and Mobility projects. She holds a Bachelor's degree in economics from Dartmouth College and a Master's in Public Affairs from Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
