Meet Jenny Rottmann at the Careers in Social Impact Dinner and Networking Event on Oct 13th and at the Lunch Discussion on Impact through the Private Sector on Oct 14th.
Jenny is the Deputy Director and CFO for The Genesis Fund. The Genesis Fund is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). As a CDFI, the Genesis Fund brings together resources to create housing and other economic and social opportunities for historically underserved people and communities in Maine and New Hampshire. Jenny's work spans 20 years in both nonprofit management and community-based work. Prior to joining the Genesis Fund, she worked as Managing Director at Defend Our Health, an environmental health nonprofit, as Organizing Director at the Maine People's Alliance, a statewide citizen action organization, and at the Center for Community Change in Washington DC.
After graduating from Dartmouth in 2002, she worked in Idaho and Washington, DC as an Emerson National Hunger Fellow through the Congressional Hunger Center. Jenny earned a Master's degree in Public Policy and Management from the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine and a Certificate in Community Development Finance from the Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire.
