Learn More About: Sam Carlson '82

Sam is a Renewable Energy developer and investor in Vermont, working on both solar and wind projects.  This requires mobilization of private sector finance to address climate change. In an earlier incarnation he worked with the World Bank for over 20 years as a Human Capital Economist.  This included multi-year overseas postings in India, Africa and South America.  His primary responsibilities involved education project origination, development, financing, supervision and economic evaluation, with project size ranging from $10-750 million.  He has two Master's degrees, from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School (Public Administration) and the University of Vermont (Environment/Natural Resources). He is a member of the Dartmouth Class of 1982.  He is 62, father of three, and lives happily in South Burlington, Vermont.
