Chitra Narasimhan '92

Chitra Narasimhan graduated from Dartmouth in 1992 with a B.A. in Government. She spent the majority of her career in financial services, beginning in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston. After receiving her MBA from Columbia University, she worked for American Express in various positions leading to her role as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and then at Citi Ventures as a Managing Director focused on innovation initiatives. Her focus over the last several years has been in non-profit volunteer activities.

With respect to Dartmouth, Chitra has been an active alumni interviewer, and has served as the DED for the Westchester New York District for the past three years. Chitra was selected to represent her Class of 1992 as an Alumni Councilor and was later elected as the President of the Alumni Council for the 2022-2023 year, being the first South Asian to serve in the role. The privilege of serving in the Alumni Council allowed Chitra the opportunity to interact with alumni from across the decades and communicate alumni sentiment to the Dartmouth College Leadership and Board of Trustees. Chitra currently serves as a co-Chair for the 1769 Society of the Dartmouth College Fund.
