Shiella M. Cervantes

Assistant Dean of Pluralism and Leadership

Dean Shiella Cervantes (she, her, hers) joined the OPAL team in August 2014. Within OPAL, Shiella Advises Pan-Asian Students and directs OPAL's Education Programs. Previously, Shiella served as the Associate Director of the Pan-Asian American Community House at the University of Pennsylvania, where she coordinated mentoring and leadership programs and worked closely with Pan Asian student organizations on community-building and advocacy. Shiella earned a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, with a minor in Asian American Studies. Her interests include social media, architecture, design, and the arts.   Shiella maintains an open-door policy, so feel free to drop by her office in Collis 211G. She is also available by appointment, or during open drop-in office hours on Mondays from 2pm - 4pm, Wednesdays from 9:30am - 11am, and Thursdays from 1:30pm - 3pm.
