VISIBILITY

Visibility is Dartmouth's annual student-led campaign to advance gender equity and celebrate self-expression. Through events centered on storytelling, art, dialogue, and education, Visibility creates inclusive spaces where women and people of all gender identities can connect and imagine a more equitable future together. At its heart, Visibility is about learning from lived experiences and building stronger networks of care and support across our campus community.

Visibility grew out of V-February, Dartmouth's long-running participation in the global V-Day movement, which for over 20 years focused on ending gender- and power-based violence. In recent years, students reimagined the campaign to better reflect Dartmouth's evolving community, building upon its educational foundation to expand its scope more intentionally toward community uplift. Now under the name Visibility, the campaign continues to center intersectional programming.

VISIBILITY AT DARTMOUTH: EDUCATION, COMMUNITY & ADVOCACY

In the 25-26 academic year, Visibility expanded to be more comprehensive and celebratory, supporting women and people of all gender identities while continuing its commitment to gender equity. The campaign places greater emphasis on creativity and community-building alongside critical conversations. Visibility: 2026 honors the 50th anniversary of Dartmouth's first coeducational graduating class. Programming reflects a broader range of experiences and modes of expression, including art, performance, dialogue, and intergenerational storytelling. Through events like Their Stories Will Be Told, Floetry: The Fluid Verse, and Redefining Alpha, the campaign invites reflection on Dartmouth's past while reimagining what visibility means for the next generation.
