  • YALI MWF Academic Director

As the Senior Program Officer at the Dickey Center, Amy manages a robust portfolio of programs aimed at both domestic and international students to enhance the global dimension of their study. This work involves coordinating a variety of forums, workshops, discussion groups, simulations, and educational sessions that connect students with practitioners, academics, and experts in the field of international affairs.  Amy also serves as the primary advisor for the International Studies Minor at Dartmouth and manages the Dickey Center's International Internship & Post-Graduate Fellowship Programs.  Amy is also the Academic Director for Dartmouth's Mandela Washington Fellows Institute, a six-week summer residential program through the U.S. State Department's Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI).

Amy holds an M.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Higher Education Administration & Service-Learning from the University of Idaho and a B.F.A. in Art & Design from Frostburg State University in Maryland.  She first set foot outside the United States during her junior year in high school when she embarked on a year-long exchange with the American Field Service (AFS) in Austria.  That initial year abroad shaped Amy's strong belief in the transformative potential of experiential education—something she comes back to again and again in her work.  In addition to Austria, Amy has had the privilege of living and working in South Africa and Belize.
