Appearing this year...
The inviting harmonies of Wild Rivers provide a shimmering texture to the band’s new EP, Eighty-Eight . However, dedicated fans know about the depth of Wild Rivers – from the alluring melodies that take unexpected turns to the undercurrent of emotion in their tightly-crafted lyrics. Wild Rivers immerse their folk-pop originals into the warm musical styles of the artists that influenced them. With over 60 million streams on Spotify, the four-piece band effortlessly blends exquisite harmonies, beautiful songwriting, and a captivating stage presence, while their vibe fits equally well in listening rooms and symphony halls.
Wild Rivers is composed of Khalid Yassein (vocals, guitar), Devan Glover (vocals), Andrew Oliver (guitar, bass) and Julien Laferriere (drums). The Toronto-based band has accrued more than 35 million streams on Spotify, toured consistently across the U.S. and Canada, and earned a reputation as a band that makes a powerful connection with listeners.
The Arcadian Wild began in the fall of 2013 when a few choir students from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN met up after class to jam for the afternoon. Five years later, the band now consists of guitarist Isaac Horn, mandolinist Lincoln Mick, and fiddler Paige Park. With roots running deep in formal vocal music, and influenced by progressive bluegrass and folk artists, The Arcadian Wild explores a unique acoustic sound that is simultaneously unified and diverse, offering up songs of invitation; calls to come and see, to find refuge and rest, or to journey and wonder.
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign this past November, the band released their second full-length album, Finch in the Pantry, on May 3rd.
