Japanese Language Program

About the Community

The Japanese Language Program, started in 2014, allows students to live together to immerse in Japanese language and culture. Students of all language ability levels are invited to apply to live in this community to further enhance their knowledge and skills. Fluency is not required.

All residents of the Language Program live together and in contiguous rooms so as to allow for a maximum level of language immersion.

Residency Expectations

Residents are expected to speak Japanese with each other and can also expect to engage with the program on a weekly basis through language tables or other language/culture programming.

Location

The Japanese Language Program is located on the first floor of the Byrne II building of McLaughlin, which houses the Global Village. View floor plans.
